“Ben” 1971

Sleeve notes:
Gatefold sleeve designed by Rick Breach, no printer’s credit.
Label notes:
Small swirl and VERTIGO above spindle.
Matrix notes:
6 3 6 0 0 5 2 1 Y // 1 ▼ 4 2 0 1 1 3
6 3 6 0 0 5 2 2 Y // 1 ▼ 4 2 0 1 1 1
Notes:
There is another so-called ‘counterfeit’ copy around, also known as an Italian ‘reissue’ that has a different front cover:
The label and inner gatefold look nearly identical but the matrix on this version is different so overall it’s easy to differentiate from the original.
Matrix (stamped):
6 3 6 0 0 5 2 – A
6 3 6 0 0 5 2 – B

hi..i have noticed some with red glasses have still sold for over £200 and are stated by the sellers as uk copies..
Yes, still sell for reasonable money, but definitely not UK versions
But all miss the most important thing: that’s the only Vertigo “Swirl” album WITHOUT the legendary logo on the front-cover!!
Not quite: John Dummer Band “Blue” 6360 055 also does not have the logo on the front. It appears on the inner gatefold. Also Magna Carta In Concert (6360 068) – the logo is on the back cover. Also Beggar’s Opera “Pathfinder” (6360 073) – logo on rear section of the poster sleeve. Also Ian Carr “Belladonna” (6360 076) – logo on back cover.
