Pink Floyd ‘More’ confusion over 1st pressings vs. reissues…

Pink Floyd’s first full album without founder member Syd Barrett was released in July 1969 and was the first soundtrack to a film completed by the group. There are numerous versions of this LP in existence and many collectors and sellers are still confused or mistaken over which version is the correct 1st pressing. This can mean buyers are paying over the odds for what they think is the rarest version, when it could turn out to be a fairly common reissue.

So, here are the easiest ways to spot the differences between the 1st four pressings of Pink Floyd’s “More” LP (click the labels for the full, detailed explanation with regards to wording on the labels).

New ‘Miscellaneous’ section added for other rare records…

Purely because there isn’t room to list every label in the main menu, a new section has been created to list other rarities and obscure records with the same level of detail as the other sections. Click ‘Miscellaneous’ here or go to ‘Others’ in the main menu (you’ll also see other labels such as Gull, Pegasus, Mooncrest and WWA) under that heading. Here’s a taster of what’s in the new section:

   

Other labels and artists coming soon in this section include: Jimi Hendrix on Track, various releases on Island Records, Fleetwood Mac on Blue Horizon, a couple of releases on RCA’s ‘Neon’ label, Pink Floyd on Columbia…and many more!
