MHSP 4002 – Clifton Chenier

“Clifton Chenier’s Very Best” 1970

Sleeve notes:

Non-gatefold textured sleeve, 7009 (September 1970) date code, Garrod & Lofthouse printer’s credit. Originally released on Blue Thumb in the USA, Harvest seems a strange choice for a UK release as this is very traditional blues, hardly progressive rock, which was Harvest’s original point of being created.

Label notes:
Uk 1st pressing information must include the following –

“THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD” around rim of label
No EMI box logo on label
“MADE IN GT. BRITAIN” at bottom of label
‘A Blue Thumb Recording’ on label

Matrix notes:

UK 1st pressing (with label as above)

M H S P  4 0 0 2  A – 1  (G at 3 o’clock in deadwax, 1 at 9 o’clock)

M H S P  4 0 0 2  B – 1  (G at 3 o’clock in deadwax, 1 at 9 o’clock)
